Wild forecast which is what turned up. Almost overpowered on 4.2m, chop didn't help, with some vicious 40 knot gusts so gobsmacked I got most gybes in. 3.7m would have been better except in lulls where 4.2m was just enough. Good feeling to match the elements, but in the end I surrendered as always fearing next gust could be my last. Rain showers came through. Cold too. 17 days out, best October.
